Public transport in Venice

Public transport in Venice is operated by the ACTV company, which provides an integrated system of buses and waterbuses.

In addition to the one-way ticket, it is possible to buy "season" tickets valid for both the buses and waterbuses. The options are: a 24 Hour ticket, valid for 24 hours from first cancellation (look for the yellow cancellation machines) costing €10.50; a 3 Day ticket, at €22.50, valid for 72 hours. The ticket price includes one piece of hand luggage.

Also available is the "Venice Card" which, in addition to use of transport, includes entry to museums, the casino and use of public toilets.

From Venice-Marco Polo International Airport

From Venice-Marco Polo International Airport take No. 15 bus, getting off in Piazza Pastrello in Venice-Favaro; change bus No. 4, 19 or 84 and alight at the third stop in Via Altinia (10 mins.). Right opposite the bus stop you will see the "Al Giardino Bed and Breakfast” where you can check into the "Al Giardino Apartments".

From Venice-Treviso Airport

From Venice- Treviso Airport take the "Eurobus Service ATVO" shuttle to Venice. When you arrive at Venice (Piazzale Roma) take bus No. 4, 19 or 84 and get off at the3rd stop of Via Altinia in Favaro. Right opposite the bus stop you will see the "Al Giardino Bed and Breakfast” where you can check into the "Al Giardino Apartments".

From Roads and Motorways/Highways

Arriving at Mestre by motorway or trunk road, take the Mestre motorway-link ("Tangenziale") and until the "Terraglio" turn-off. Follow the directions for “Venezia” and, at the second traffic lights, turn left into Favaro; go straight until Piazza Pastrello then turn left into Via Altinia. After 500 metres you will find " Al Giardino Bed and Breakfast” where you can check into the "Al Giardino Apartments".

From Venice-Mestre Railway Station

From Venice-Mestre Railway Station take bus No. 15 getting off in Piazza Pastrello in Venice-Favaro district; change to bus No. 4, 19 or 84 and alight at the third stop in Via Altinia (20 mins.). Right opposite the bus stop you will see the "Al Giardino Bed and Breakfast” where you can check into the "Al Giardino Apartments".

From Venice-Historic Center, Venice-Santa Lucia Railway Station, Venice Port (Venice Passenger Terminal)

From the City of Venice, Venice-Santa Lucia Railway Station, the Port (Venice Passenger Terminal), go to Piazzale Roma and take bus No. 4, 19 or 84 and get off at the 3rd bus stop on Via Altinia in Venice-Favaro district (15 mins.). Right opposite the bus stop you will see the "Al Giardino Bed and Breakfast” where you can check into the "Al Giardino Apartments".
