San Marco

April 25th is the festivity of Saint Mark patron of the city. Once for the occasion a procession with religious and civil authorities was held in Piazza San Marco. Today the patron is celebrated with a procession inside the Basilica. Amongst Venetians is custom to donate a "bocolo", a little red rose, to the women they love.
